The Event That Turned Into Something Bigger Than We Expected

Some events go as planned and then there are the ones that turn into something much bigger than anyone expected. That is exactly what happened at the Westcott Designs™ 7-Year Anniversary event. What started as a celebration of seven years in business quickly became one of the biggest and most meaningful community events Westcott has ever hosted. Co-hosted with AZ 4Runner Outsiders, the day brought together an incredible crowd, a packed lot of rigs, great food, raffles, real behind-the-scenes moments, and the kind of energy you can only get when a community genuinely believes in what you are building. As Jeff said during the event, the turnout was far beyond what anyone expected.

More Than an Anniversary Party

This was not just another shop event. It was a real-world reminder of what seven years of hard work, risk, growth, and community support actually looks like. From the outside, people might see a busy install shop, production facility, and racks of finished parts heading out the door. But this event gave everyone a chance to see the bigger picture. It showed the story behind Westcott Designs™ and the people who helped build it from the ground up.

Jeff shared that when the company started, it was just him, Jessica, and their friend Josh helping with engineering. Their original setup was small, simple, and far from what the company has become today. In the beginning, they did not even have a lift in the shop and worked on jack stands for months before they could afford to upgrade. That kind of beginning matters, because it explains why the event felt different. It was not just about celebrating a milestone. It was about honoring the work, the people, and the support system that made seven years possible.

A Crowd Bigger Than Expected

The turnout for the anniversary event was massive. From the moment people started arriving, it was clear this was not going to be a small gathering. The lot filled up with rigs, people packed in for raffles, and the atmosphere felt more like a major community meetup than a simple shop anniversary.

There were prizes, food, conversation, and a constant flow of people walking the shop and checking out builds. But more than anything, there was a sense of appreciation in the air. People were not just there to shop or browse. They were there because they wanted to be part of what Westcott Designs™ has built. That kind of turnout does not happen by accident. It comes from years of consistent quality, real customer relationships, and a brand that has stayed rooted in passion instead of trends.

A Look Behind the Scenes at Westcott Designs™

One of the most valuable parts of the event was the opportunity for people to see behind the scenes. Jeff walked attendees through the shop and shared what the company has become over the last seven years. What started as a small operation with one-off fabrication work has grown into a full-scale production environment with advanced equipment, dedicated departments, and a serious manufacturing process.

Today, Westcott Designs™ handles a large amount of work every month. Jeff explained that the lift shop typically sees around 150 to 180 trucks monthly, with much of that business coming from out of state. That alone says a lot about the reach of the brand and the trust customers have in the shop.

As attendees walked through the facility, they got to see the equipment and workflow that power that growth. Jeff pointed out the company’s 3K fiber laser, which helped get things started early on, and the newer 10K fiber laser that can do in three hours what the older machine did in three days. For customers and supporters, seeing that level of operation up close gave a much deeper understanding of what goes into the products they buy.

From Small Fabrication Runs to Scaled Production

The event also highlighted one of the biggest turning points in the Westcott Designs™ story. Jeff explained that when the company first launched, the shop was heavily focused on custom fabrication and one-off work. Over time, it became clear that that model was difficult to sustain at scale. Custom fab work takes a huge amount of labor, often with margins that do not justify the time involved. That led Westcott to focus more on high-quality production parts that could be built consistently and at scale without sacrificing the attention to detail the brand is known for. Today, that production model includes rock sliders, roof racks, lift kits, and a growing range of accessories for serious off-road platforms. Jeff noted that even now, rock sliders remain one of the most labor-intensive products they make, averaging around seven and a half hours per set. That kind of labor commitment says everything about how much care goes into each finished product.

Why Quality Still Comes First

One of the strongest themes throughout the event recap was quality. Jeff talked openly about how important it is to keep manufacturing in the United States and to continue raising the level of craftsmanship as the business grows. He made it clear that the goal is not just to produce more parts, but to produce better parts and to do it with pride.

That mindset was visible throughout the shop tour. Attendees got to see the welding area, aluminum production processes, powder coating workflow, and shipping department. They also got a real look at how much time, labor, and process control goes into each product before it leaves the building. Westcott’s powder coating setup, for example, includes sandblasting, a primer etching coat, and a textured finish coat designed to improve protection and durability, especially in corrosive environments like snow states and coastal areas. This is the kind of detail that most customers never see, but it is exactly what separates a premium product from an average one.

The Numbers Behind the Growth

The anniversary event was emotional because it put real numbers behind the journey. Jeff shared that he and Jessica started the business with just $17,47 invested in the first shop. That number feels almost unbelievable when you compare it to what the company operates today.

Now, Westcott Designs™ ships between 300 and 500 orders every single day, with trucks picking up four times daily just to keep up. The scale of that operation would have been hard to imagine in the early days when they were borrowing space from neighboring businesses to shuffle vehicles around after hours. That kind of growth is not just impressive. It is earned. It reflects years of smart reinvestment, long hours, calculated risk, and relentless effort to improve both the product and the process.

Why This Event Meant So Much

For Jeff, this event was clearly personal. He spoke about Jessica multiple times during the day, sharing how much of the company’s success is tied to the fact that they built it together from the beginning. He was open about how hard it was that she could not be there in person because she was sick, and he made it clear that she has always been a central part of everything Westcott Designs™ has become. That honesty is part of what made the event feel so meaningful.

It was not a polished corporate speech. It was a real moment from someone who remembers exactly what the early days looked like, how difficult the climb was, and how much community support mattered along the way. That kind of authenticity is rare, and it is one of the reasons the Westcott community continues to grow.

A Community Event With Real Impact

The day was not just about celebrating the company. It also made a real difference. Thanks to donations and support from attendees and partners, the event raised over $14,795 that day, with additional support helping push Arizona 4Runner Outsiders’ fundraising total to more than $63,000 over five years. That is a major accomplishment. It also speaks to what made this event different from a typical shop anniversary. It was not just a party. It was a community-driven event tied to a real cause, one that supports trail cleanup, stewardship, and keeping off-road spaces open and enjoyable for everyone.

Arizona 4Runner Outsiders shared that their work has helped remove millions of pounds of trash, including 1.7 million pounds from off-vehicle areas alone. That context adds even more meaning to the day. The turnout did not just celebrate Westcott Designs™. It supported the larger off-road community too.

Why This Event Felt Different

Every brand can throw an event. Not every brand can create an atmosphere where customers, supporters, employees, and partners all feel like they are part of the same story. That is what made this one different.

People were not just there to see products. They were there to connect with the people behind the products. They got to hear the origin story, walk through the shop, see the machines, understand the process, and feel the passion that built the company in the first place. The event was packed, energetic, and emotional, but it also felt grounded. It reminded everyone that behind every rack, slider, bumper, and kit is a team of people who care deeply about what they build. That is what seven years of building really looks like.

Looking Ahead

If this anniversary event proved anything, it is that Westcott Designs™ is not slowing down. The company continues to expand, increase production, shorten lead times, and grow into new markets while still holding onto the same core values that built the brand in the first place. Jeff even touched on the increasing interest in Ford applications, while making it clear that Toyota remains a core part of the company’s identity. That mix of growth and  clarity is exactly why the brand continues to gain momentum. Westcott Designs™ is evolving, but it is doing so without losing what made it special to begin with.

Final Thoughts

The 7-Year Anniversary event was a reminder that the best brands are not built overnight. They are built through long days, small beginnings, hard decisions, reinvestment, sacrifice, loyal customers, supportive families, and a community that keeps showing up. This event was bigger than expected because what Westcott Designs™ has built over seven years is bigger than a product catalog or a busy shop. It is a real community, and that was on full display. To everyone who showed up, donated, supported, and helped make the day what it was, thank you. This one was special and if you missed it, it sounds like Westcott is already thinking about next year.
