What’s largest size tire/wheel I can fit with your preload collar lift kit?

4runner/Tacoma 285/70/17 (4R/T) or 285/75/16 (Tacoma) up to 0 offset

2^nd gen Tundra 295/70R18 on a factory wheel (35’s will require fender pullback kit)

3^rd gen Tundra 35×12.50R18 or 35×12.50R20 using a +18 to +20 offset wheel. 35×11.50 works best on factory wheel. If you choose to run a 35×12.50 on factory wheel, you will need to run a .500” wheel shim.

35” with 0 offset requires trimming of front fender liner, bracket taken out, and best to do cab mount chop.

37’s fit best on a +18 offset wheel, require fender liner trim, bracket pulled and a cab mount chop.

What wheel offset do you recommend with your preload collar lift kit?

Tacoma & 4runner +0mm

Tundra & Sequoia (All generations) +18 to +25mm

Warranty

All dealers are privately owned and cannot legally “void” your manufacturer warranty. However, they can deny performing a specific warranty repair if they deem the part failure to be directly related to the aftermarket parts you have installed on your vehicle.

Westcott Designs Warranty – Lifetime warranty to the original purchaser of the product.

How does your preload collar lift kit differ from a typical spacer lift kit?

Our preload collar provides lift the same as an adjustable coilover does by using the preload in your spring to give you the lift. The only difference between our preload collar a true coilover is that our method is not adjustable like a true coilover. By using a preload collar rather than a spacer lift, you retain your factory ride quality, suspension geometry and are still able to align it to factory specs after install.

Are UCA’s, a differential drop or extended brake lines required with use of your preload collar lift kit?

No UCA’s, differential drop or extended brake lines needed or recommended with our preload collar lift kits. We engineer the amount of lift we put in each specific preload collar to ensure that it is within spec of the max travel of the UCA. Since we are not changing the geometry of your factory suspension no differential drop is required. The amount of lift that our kits provide do not over extend the factory brake lines to need replacement with longer units.

What is the actual weight on the 4runner sliders?

45lbs x2 without top plates, 50lbs x2 with top plates.

Is it required to change my upper control arms and extended brake lines when I do this lift on my 22 tundra?

No, it is not required but purely personal preference.

I ordered and AVS kit and I did not receive the rear pucks for the back?

That kit actually comes with avs links to lift the rear they look similar to bottle openers, I can send you a video showing you exactly what they look like to ensure you are not missing anything.

What are these little black spacer things? I do not see any pictures of what they go to on the website?

Those are the bump stop spacers and I can send you a video on those to ensure proper installation.

Do you have a parts list for your kits?

We need parts lists & QR code with link to youtube install instructions.

What wheel offset do you recommend with your kits?

Taco & 4runner +0mm / Tundra & Sequoia(All generations) +18 to +25mm

Does your lift kit require a differential drop kit?

No drop kit required

Does your lift require aftermarket UCA?

No UCA needed to achieve a good alignment.

Will the Westcott ladder fit with a Prinsu/Sherpa/Alpha FT roof rack?

It is compatible with all major roof rack brands aside from Front Runner.

What’s the difference between a black anodized collar and a raw collar?

Our preload collars are offered in raw aluminum or anodized black. If you are in a salt state or flood zone near the ocean, it is recommended that you purchase the black collar as this will not corrode. *We do NOT recommend powder-coating or painting a raw aluminum kit*

Do you guys do any custom fabrication?

Due to high demand and increased lead time on our products, currently we do not offer any custom fabrication.

The whole process was enjoyable and Carlo made excellent suggestions! Carlo helped the team deliver their upgrades in a timely fashion, and the installation was beautiful! I got a Westcott Designs Collar Lift, 35” Toyo Open Country R/T tires, Method 305 17” wheels, Westcott Designs Rock Sliders, and RealTruck Retrax Pro Retractrable Tonneau Cover.

Importantly, I wanted to protect my truck. Kevin, principal at on-site detailing shop - Mirror Imagaz Detailing, did an outstanding job applying PPF, ceramic coat and window tinting to my new truck!

I brought my 2019 4Runner to them and Jacob hooked me up! He was very professional and answered all my questions. I had them install Bilstein 5100's all the way around with their preload collar kit for a full 3" of lift in the front and now it sits perfectly level at all 4 corners. I also had them install 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. And believe it or not, it actually rides even smoother now than when I brought it in with highway tires in the stock size!! The welds are out of this world, seems a shame to powder coat them. The product is seriously over-built, and beautiful.

Where they lost a star. I was a local pickup living in Phoenix, after a 3 month wait, I was notified they were ready. I thought I would have them install my rock sliders to save me some time and effort. I called 3 different days and was told I need to speak to sales to set up an install. Three times I was told I would get a call back and did not. I finally just picked them up and I will do the install myself.

The guys in shipping were apologetic and where great help loading them up.
Overall, I will purchase from Westcott again.

Edit: What a class act! The owner called me within an hour of my posting to apologize that I didn't get a call back. He was embarrassed that they had missed this.

I had taken the 4Runner to Off Road Warehouse who not only could get the 4Runner aligned, Off Road Warehouse also bent my cam tabs causing thousand dollars worth of damage. I wish I would have taken it to Westcott from the very beginning.

They go the extra mile to make sure your suspension isn't maxed out, your Toyota is leveled side to side, amazing attention to detail.  Their roof racks, ladders, sliders, etc are top notch-by far the best roof rack and ladder on the market, welding gurus.  The shop has definitely grown over the years, but Jeff is just his passionate as he was on day one. They aren't the cheapest, but you're going to get what you pay for.
