Position Title: CNC Machinist

Position Overview

Westcott Designs is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machinery used to manufacture high-quality off-road and overland automotive products. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship while thriving in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, routers, or related production equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, work orders, and technical specifications
• Load materials, tooling, and fixtures to ensure accurate production runs
• Monitor machine operations and inspect finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments as needed
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standards and deadlines
• Troubleshoot machining or tooling issues and communicate production concerns to supervisors
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
• Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and engineering teams to support production goals

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with Haas or similar CNC equipment preferred
• Ability to read measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and material handling
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop prints
• Basic understanding of G-code and machine programming is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in a fabrication and manufacturing environment
