Job Title: Automotive CNC Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our team in producing high-quality aluminum lift kits and other automotive parts. The ideal candidate will operate CNC machines with precision to create components that meet tight specifications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in every step of the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce aluminum lift kits and other automotive components.
- Interpret and analyze technical blueprints, CAD designs, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Load raw materials (e.g., aluminum stock) and oversee the machining process to maintain optimal efficiency.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet precise tolerances and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, offsets, and tooling as necessary to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, tooling, and processes to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve machining processes and product designs.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures, protocols, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD drawings, and machining instructions.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) and machine operations.
- Familiarity with aluminum machining processes, including cutting, drilling, and milling.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with 5-axis CNC machines.
- Knowledge of automotive parts manufacturing, particularly lift kits.
- Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
